Can I apply if I don’t have a Seaman Book yet?

Yes, you can apply! If you do not have a seaman book or STCW certifications yet, our team will guide you to accredited maritime academies so you can quickly obtain valid certificates.

Is English mandatory to work on cruise ships?

For guest-facing roles like Stewards, Bartenders, and Receptionists, conversational English (B1/B2) is required. For technical roles like Motormen or Galleys Chefs, culinary and mechanical skills are primary, with basic maritime English being adequate.

How are salaries paid and will I have shipboard expenses?

Salaries are disbursed in US Dollars or Euros directly into your international bank account. Your cabin, 3 buffet meals per day, uniforms, and onboard health coverage are 100% free, allowing you to save the bulk of your income.

What are typical contract durations and home leave periods?

Standard cruise contracts run between 6 to 8 months. Upon completion, you are entitled to 6 to 8 weeks of vacation before returning for your next scheduled embarkation.

Does Monte Denizcilik charge applicants any placement fees?

Absolutely not! In strict accordance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006 Regulation 1.4), we NEVER charge seafarers any recruitment, placement, or registration fees.
